As an innovative, youth-driven program, we educate, engage, and empower youth to help create positive change. We partner directly with young people to:

  • Ensure youth voice is included in decisions that affect young people;
  • Improve adolescent health care quality; and
  • Improve the overall health and well-being of their generation.

After all, who could be more equipped to provide authentic insights into the concerns, preferences, and realities of adolescents than adolescents themselves?!

Our PATCH Teen Educator Program, PATCH Toolkits, and Community Resources help support youth, their families, and health care providers in ensuring young people are well-prepared to manage their own health care into adulthood - advocating for the health care they need and deserve.

Our PATCH Youth Advocacy Fellowship empowers young people, ages 12-21, to grow as leaders and young activists by making their voices heard in adolescent health related program and policy decisions at the local and state level.

Our goal as Wisconsin PATCH is to implement a strategic and robust statewide model that advances adolescent health efforts alongside and in true partnership with young people. For the 2021-2022 program year, we have 3 Statewide Youth Advocacy Fellowships (Health & Wellness, Sexual & Reproductive Health, Social & Emotional Health), 5 Teen Educator Teams in each public health region, and various partners implementing PATCH Toolkits and utilizing PATCH's resources

We pride ourselves in being recognized as innovative leaders in authentic youth engagement. We love to share our stories, best practices, and lessons learned with others, as well as help coach others in starting their own PATCH Teen Educator Program or PATCH Youth Advocacy Fellowship
