Demand Wisconsin Expand Medicaid Now!

Wisconsin and 12 other states are putting lives at risk across America by refusing to extend Medicaid coverage to millions who are poor and uninsured. This ensures that many Americans who become infected will go undiagnosed and untreated: people for whom going to the doctor portends financial calamity tend not to do so before their health circumstances become dire.

By expanding Medicaid (BadgerCare) up to 138% of the Federal Poverty Level, Wisconsin would:

• cover roughly 91,000 more adults and significantly reduce the amount of people who are uninsured
• prevent financial hardships for low-income working adults and families
• reduce health care costs for all Wisconsinites
• save roughly $215 million per year in state tax dollars that we can invest in creating healthier communities
