Medicaid Changes Must Be Approved to Help Wisconsinites!
State Legislature Must Convene & Act Now!
Over the last couple of weeks, at least 35 states have developed and submitted waivers that will strengthen the capacity of their Medicaid programs to respond to the deadly epidemic. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) has tried to take steps that would strengthen the ability of health care providers to use Medicaid in the fight against the virus and would make Wisconsin eligible for an increase in federal Medicaid funding authorized by Congress. Unfortunately DHS and the Governor Evers need the full State Legislature to convene and approve proposals that can make our Medicaid program a stronger tool to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
We need you to take action now and urge your State Legislators to convene and pass legislation to approve these much needed changes.
